Engineering The Human-Computer Interface
This is an affordable student edition of the highly successful Engineering the Human-Computer Interface from the Essex Series in Telecommunication and Information Systems. Human-computer interaction has become an increasingly important aspect of the design of communication systems and one with which every computer and electronic engineer needs to be familiar.
This book is ideal for undergraduate and postgraduate students of HCI on computing, telecommunications and electronics courses and is written from an engineer's viewpoint, concentrating on the specification and analysis of interactive systems. The original text has been abbreviated by the removal of some of the information more applicable to practising researchers and its focus has been shifted firmly towards the student. The basic structure and wide scope remain, however, providing an excellent introduction to user interface design techniques and tools.
