EDP System Development Guidelines

EDP system development is the process of taking an initial concept for a new or an improved information system within an area of business; analyzing the information needs of the people within that area; defining their informational requirements; designing a system or procedure to provide that required information within given constraints; constructing, testing and implementing the system on a known computer configuration; and providing for the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of that system foe as long as it remains operational.
